The London Deanery Careers Unit provides first-class careers support for trainee doctors in London.

The Partnership

Since 2008, C2 Careers has worked closely with The Careers Unit at the London Deanery and has been played a central role in delivering a range of careers related services to doctors across the London Deanery area.

Working in partnership with the staff at the London Deanery Careers Unit, C2 Careers Consultants have designed and delivered a diverse range of workshops to trainee doctors and also to more experienced clinicians across the 70 + hospital trusts within the London Deanery area. Workshop titles have included: ‘Career Planning for Foundation Year One Doctors’; ‘Speciality Recruitment for Foundation Year Two Doctors’; ‘Enhancing your Interview skills’; , Career Planning for Staff and Associate Grade Doctors’ and ‘Careers support Training for Educational Supervisors’.

The quality of the work C2 has produced in collaboration with Careers Unit was acknowledged by the Times Higher Education Award when we were shortlisted for an Innovative Partnership award in June 2010.

eyond working with individuals or groups - the partnership with the Careers Unit has also extended to resource development. At C2 Careers we also deliver creative online solutions for organisations. Building on this expertise, C2 produced an online resource tool entitled Beyond Clinical Practice http://beyondclinical.thecareersgroup.co.uk

The purpose of the online tool is to support clinicians who are considering exploring careers outside of clinical medicine.

Whether it’s delivering interactive workshops, providing bespoke 1:1 career coaching or developing online solutions to specific careers need, the work C2 has done with the Careers Unit of the London Deanery goes from strength to strength.
